I'm going to punch scott in the face next time I see him. That would have been a perfect DD for me! ;)
Congrats, and welcome to the NE E30 crew.
Scott is a hero to all those local who have e30's.... now if only we could get him into a car that stays on the road.
Bring it to the next GTG.Below the radar...Comment

Har har har - I feel the love :)
This car is an absolute STEAL. Asking was 4k, and it was worth every penny. The guys over at BPG took a good look at it, and there are a few small but common things that need to be done (TA bushings, shift bushings, etc) but the body is near mint, the paint is fresh, the wheels and tires are in excellent shape, the ACS front and RD rear are a nice bonus, the interior is clean, there's a recent rebuild on the motor, no mechanical issues, and even a well appointed aftermarket audio system using high end components.
I told him the car was worth what the seller was asking, as did BPG. That doesn't mean we had to settle at that price, no? :)
Kevin is one lucky guy. The car is a rarity around here, and worth way more than what he paid. We'll attack the issues it's got and he'll be in all but a brand new E30.
I'm hoping to get him up to the GTG on the 29th, but we'll see. Worst case it'll be at the Show n' Shine!
I hate pinstripes too, but for some reason these fit the car extremely well.
It does look a bit lighter than stock delphin, but I also haven't seen a fresh coat of delphin in a long time - who knows! Looks amazing either way.
Congrats to Kevin on his first car being a CHERRY e30 - pictures don't do the car justice! It was my pleasure to take a look and help you save some money :)Comment

And yeah, my joking use of ebonics should probably stop. Scott was having a field day with my answering machine! :-DComment

wait...
the OTHER rule #1. If you don't know the answer for SURE, make sure you state that when answering, or be prepared to be called out if you're wrong :)
The ACS is a lip spoiler that mounts over the stock late model valance/fogs. It's ABS plastic, so it stands a lot more abuse than a fiberglass piece.
I know lots about them - I've got one coming for my vert :)Comment
