Hi everyone,
As it's been quite a while since I last posted an update about my car, I thought I'd post to let you know about what I've been up to and how the car is going at present. Since you all last saw it, I haven't done heaps however I've finalised the stereo install and at least finished that. I know the 318iS is best with the least weight possible but as I just want mine to be a nice, street iS, I decided to finish it off with a nice stereo install.
I've ended up with a new Alpine 9856 headunit which is great and very fast with its iPod connection. From there back everything is Boston Acoustics. I'm running a pair of 6.5" Splits in the front and also in the back and also a pair of 10" subs custom mounted firing towards the cabin through the ski hole behind the rear seat in a sealed enclosure. The front splits are running an active cross-over settup with four channels directed to them whereas the rear splits run through the Boston crossovers.
To finish things off, I've constructed a pair of custom front kick panels and a custom rear parcel shelf covered in black vinyl similar to that on the doors of my E30 to sit the splits in firmly and I've finished the boot off with a full, install. I don't have pics of it at the moment but I'll try and get some next time around.
While it hasn't changed much at all on the outside, here are a few more recent pics:

Overall, I've decided that I'd like to keep the exterior looking as original as possible (ie: as it currently is) however I may line up a set of 17" wheels for the end of the year and lower the car further with a set of H & R Race Springs or alternatively IE Stage III's if I can get a hold of a new set once they're back in stock.
Apart from that, I've been searching long and hard to find some original sport seats but may have to revert to some aftermarket alternatives as there seems to be none around in any decent condition with the original trim pattern that I'm after.
Either way, I hope that long speil didn't bore you too much and I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you think of my E30 as it stands and what you think I should do to it next to continue along a similar path to which I'm going.
Thanks everyone,
Pete
