    new forum member, '89 is

    Hey everyone, my name is Mikey.

    I'm fairly new to the BMW/E30 scene, and just got my zinnoberrot 89 325is recently. 180k on the clock, runs strong, in great condition for $2000 :D. All the options, gray interior, 5 speed, etc. Coming from an '88 260E Benz, this car handles and performs amazingly. I'm very glad that I made the purchase, but that being said, there's not much money left for mods... as soon as I get another job, who knows what will happen.

      Awesome car! This forum is full of wealth. Seems to be in pretty good condition.
      I like the color too.

      PS: Good job leaving Mercedes. You get driven around in a Benz, you drive a BMW :-)

        looks real good a clean. Zinnoberrot kicks ass!!! A IS front lip and maybe a light window tint would make it look amazing. Lets see some interior pictures.

        Doing alittle 4x4ing in the mud huh??

                NOOOO!!!! no1 else in the sf area is allowed to have a clean e30 exept me...hehe j/k, welcome aboard. btw, i have been chattin wif yer buddy Gus about e30's, tell him to get that IS from LA so i can get my parts off it....hehe

                  That is, by far, the best deal I have ever seen on an E30. $2K for all that sex on wheels?

                  Oh and I had a 260E too. Those things were tanks, and slow! I did like burning the rear tires by jumping the gas after a turn. That was its only :up:

                  Congrats on a sweet deal and a sweet car! Once you do get some money put together, what do you plan to do?

                    thanks for all the kind words and welcomes. this forum is certainly helpful, i can't wait to become a part of it.

                    2k was a hell of a deall, especially considering the overall shape and how clean it is...i'm very happy with the purchase. the zinno is really growing on me. at first, i didn't like it much. but it gets better and better every day.

                    long term plans....LOTS of euro E30 stuff, hopefully some of which i'll be getting shortly. and if it wasn't obvious in the pics, my 4x4 could use some new suspension, as well.

                              That is EXACTLY my car. My lip is broken and I picked up an 'i' lip for the time being. Scary to look at those pics.
