    First E30 - 85 325e

    Hey guys,

Recently came into possession of this 85 325e. Has 238k miles on the cluster but I've no idea what the true mileage is.

Previous owner repainted it and refreshed the suspension with Bilstein and H&R combo. Other than that it's mostly stock except for a supersprint exhaust. To my understanding the interior is out of a sport model. I had an e46 a few years back but always wanted an e30. I also have a 91 supra which is my jack stand queen. E30 will be a daily until further notice!

Doing a valve adjustment because it ticks bad... dang sewing machine!
Has a really nasty oil leak from multiple places that I haven't been able to pinpoint exactly as of yet but I am speculating that it's the oil pan and cam seal. Bought all the seals and I'll be tackling that shortly. Changed out the SI board and temp gauge started working, but still no speedo. I put in a new diff sensor so it must be the plug itself, all fuses check out. OBC does not work properly due to this either.

    Enjoy some pictures!
    Night i picked it up

I'm in Stamford, but will be in Raleigh, NC for the summer months.

Even properly adjusted, they sound like sewing machines. It's normal.

Yeah I figured as much but my valves are really out of wack. At least compared to other M20's I've seen. Teardown begins this weekend to sort out all my oil leaks and long overdue valve adjustment.
