Sealed beam low beams and early 80's Merz H1 fogs for the high beams. They have those plastic dome shaped protectors on them from BavAuto (though mine came from fleaBay).

Car is really cleaning up, Dave. I know you don't care what it looks like, really, but I like the silver with black bumpers. So many sterling sedans, not so many with offset black bumpers. Leave them as is, IMO.

I'm hoping to get all the panels and rust straightened out this winter, and have it resprayed. May need to weld a new radiator support on - this one's pretty mangled. No matter - I've got a few lying around ;)

Shes running well, and I'll keep cleaning her up - to a degree.

I think the bumpers are getting painted. And I have something else in mind to spruce it up, but that'll have to wait.

Yeah, well there is a huge nasty spot in the clearcoat that it hides.

As for the protectors - get you r head out of your ass. Its a track car. Many organizations require that glass lights be covered with something - I hate using blue painter's tape.

Now go fuck your POS 318 up some more with some turbo intake headlights or something.

BTDT - I have had smileys and sealed beams. For 99% of the e30 drivers, it makes no difference.

Again - its a track car - I am not entering it in the 12 hours at Sebring, so I need not worry about running ahead of my headlights.
