I previously ran vogtland with kybs.. The KYBs didn't even last 5k miles, they were blown.

I actually still have to do the rears (work & school have a way of getting in the way), but I should have an answer for you later this weekend ;)

Me too. I really like the grey sport seats. Mine has grey comfort seats until I find a set like yours.

Thanks for the love gents, it's coming together, albeit slowly. I got the front brakes bled, the intake manifold back on with some fresh rubber underneath, as well a new Chain tensioner to cure the cold rattle. Engine is all buttoned back up.

Sorry for the misleading pic, but the interior is actually just run of the mill Natur. I'll take better pics once its out of the garage

You should use mobile 1 15w-50 on your M42

                        Nice looking find.

I've been using 10w40 for years. Seems like people use a broad range of engine oil for the m42. Maybe I'll try something else out

Sorry for the hold up, life got in the way yet again. The car actually rides pretty nice, not too hard but def. not too soft. I'm using Garagistic 80A bushings in the front. Here's how it sits. Also, here's a better pic of the interior.

I disagree. The m42 is a far more modern engine (tighter tolerances) than the old m20/m30 platform, and was designed to run with more modern, thinner oils. Not 0w-20 mind you, but not the ol' 50-weight sludge either. IIRC the manual for the m42 says 10w40, so that's exactly what I'd stick with.
