Do the hoodpins really serve a purpose since the hood is hinged from the front? It's not like it's going to fly off at speed, and (being totally ignorant of how they mount) if crashworthiness is an issue...shouldn't they be located to the rear?

actually if you look at the pic i posted above you can see that my hood isnt hinged.

1.not fg. stock
2.hood pulled the hinge assembly for weight. (spece30 plans)
3. also when i get around to a full cage the release in cabin is rendered useless
