alright so, i've had these sittin around the garage for a loong time now.. and i think its time to snap these bitches on!
clamp things came with the skirts, just that they were closed already.. and i figured since they worked like zipties, they cant be opened anymore.. but after buying the remaining three they had at the stealer, which were $3 each (needed 10).. i knew there had to be a way to open them up.. cuz i already have ten clamps, just ten closed ones..
found out you can open them with a small flat head screwdriver.. i actually broke three trying to do it, but luckily i had three new ones from the stealer.. so i got em all opened up and ready to reclamp..
came from germany, still has a lil german dirt on em.. gotta clean em up! besides washin it off wit water, how should i prep them? my cars black so.. should i spray it black? or leave it the color it is? should i armor all it? black magic? sand it? whats the best way to clean these up?
as far as installing, im going ot use the factory clamps.. screw one or two on both sides near the fenders.. and instead of drilling holes, like some people have done, ima use some kind of caulking adhesive.. a two part mix.. industrial, flexible, i dont know what its called.. any suggestions on any brands or whats good?
or if anyone else has any better ideas on installing the skirts, throw em in..
aaaand heres some pics!

haha and heres my little brother and his friend holding up the skirt for me, good kids.. heh but thats a shot of how its going to look like i guess.. i also noticed though, while they were trying to put it on.. the part where it connects isnt fully flushed? like is it suppose to stick together ? or show a lil gap? im thinking its suppose to show a gap cuz its suppose to match the gap between the door and the fender? cuz if its suppose to be flush, it feels as if it isnt long enough.. any ideas?

oh and if anyone has another intake boot lyin around with no rips in it, lemme know! cuz the stealers chargin me $40, when most people tell me its only like $15.. and im not sure what 'type' of boot mine is.. so heres a pic of that too.. yeah, i used duct tape to plug the tear.. and that red-orange stuff is some gasket sealant cuz there was like a hairline of coolant coming out of that area.. dont know what that part is called but i'll definitely open it up and put some 'make your own gasket' stuff to replace it at the same time i change the boot..
