Recent shoot I did of my bagged Mauritius Blue vert

Hey everyone! Haven't posted any good photos of my car on here since I got the new wheels in January, so it's about time I guess.

I recently got into shooting 35mm film after shooting on a DSLR for years. I bought a Nikon FE2, Nikkor 50mm f/1.2, and a Nikkor 35mm f/2.8 this summer and it's just been a trip down the rabbit hole since then. For this set, I used a Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 Planar T* and a Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 Planar T* that I had rented to try out at the Japanese Classics & Japan Parts Service open house. So, I made use of my remaining rental period to shoot the E30 of course! These were shot on Kodak Ektar 100. Figured I'd include these details just in case any of you are into this kind of thing.

The wheels are Work Equip 03s:
    Front: 15x8.5 +0 (after 3mm spacer) A-Disk 175/55
    Rear: 15x9.5 +8 (after 5mm spacer) O-Disk 195/50
I ordered them from Evasive Motorsports in 2016.

Enough bullshit, here are the pics!

Figured I'd include one of the interior that I do have. This one was shot on Portra 160 with the Nikkor 50mm f/1.2. So that's the Renown 100 Motorsport wheel with an HKB horn button, and I got the shift knob and cigarette lighter custom made from @mr__grip on instagram - check him out his work is awesome (if you're into that sort of thing).

Photos look much sharper on Flickr, oh well lol

Now it just needs a respray (OEM color), interior work, and engine work... Thanks for looking!

    Love the color!

Every time I see a clean vert like this I start to wish I'd bought one instead of another coupe..

Thanks! Yeah I have a love/hate relationship with having a vert. Glad I don't daily it anymore as it does leak a little haha. I've considered getting rid of it for a sedan or wagon in the past but I just can't bring myself to do it. It's nice to have in the fall and spring for sure.

The only vert I had was an e36 and I hated the car so bad it ruined the experience for me. Not sure I'd want to daily one either, honestly, but damn if they don't look incredible with the top down! A wagon would be a fair trade IMO :)

BTW, what are the wheels in your sig? I think those look pretty fantastic as well!

Haha I understand that. Maybe one day I'll pull the trigger on a wagon. Might need to be in addition to this one instead of a trade though lol. I've gotten attached.

Thanks! They're Work Meister S1Rs, 16x9 +0 all the way around. Obviously I have a thing for Work wheels lol. I'm really glad I went to 15s though, definitely don't plan on going back to 16s.

Nice, when it's time to abandon my little bottlecaps I'll be looking for a similar style/size.. What's the reasoning behind your preference of 15's vs 16's?

Mostly I just like how they look better, but also the ride with the taller sidewall is better as well.

For this car and my use of it, I love having bags, don't regret it at all. It rides really well actually. At ride height I think I have the air springs at like 50%-60% capacity or something like that, so the ride isn't bouncy or harsh/stiff. I wasn't ever on coils on this car, but my daily is on coils. It's not completely slammed lol.
