there is a grey market 635csi for sale for $250 near me right now. A friend of mine is thinking of parting it. Sounds like it runs fine, but just has some fender damage and rust. Are they worth anything parted? Especially a european grey market?

some problem with the e28's i think. thats why you dont see many people doing euro bumper swaps on US cars for e24's and e28's.

If that fender damage doesn't mean it hit by a train, I'd buy that for fun.
with 250$ it would make a great driveway ornament :)

I still can't figure out why those e24's in U.S. are so damn cheap.

Body and interior parts are worth of $.

I have early euro bumpers and a nice euro front spoiler if you are interested......... A really nice idea for the rear is to tuck the bumper and get '88 or '89 side covers, it's very clean! My dad did exactly that and it looks great.

Such sick cars. I almost bought an 87 635 automagic before my first e30. I think it even had a cooler in the middle of the rear seat you could put sodas in or something.

This is going to get me in trouble, but I think the 6 is a more attractive car than the E30--it's got better proportions IMHO (stock anyway). In defense though, the E30's got a much more modern dash.

I'd love to own a 6, and you've got a really nice-looking example. I wonder how maintenance and durability compares with an E30?

They are very close on maintenance. And are extremly durable, I would go as far to say more than the E30. Why do you think I have one of each lol.
