Woot! Looks like a great start to a project. Runs OK? No smoke? Decent interoir?
An '88 should have a SETA, so easy to make a bunch more power. Good Job!

I piston dome, I head casting (big ports, 7 oil journals), later model motronic.

Easy to make into a proper stroker without having to swap bottomend parts. An I cam, i/e manifolds, ECU, valvetrain and I exhaust will make it a potent little 2.7 that you can take to 6500-7000

Thanks for the kind words guys. The car is in really good shape. According to the previous owner. The engine was rebuilt 30k ago and everything is untouched and original. The brakes work great and everything is tight. I didn't even know it was an SETA motor to be honest.

At the time i've been looking into my tach not working. Also, I tried resetting my dash lights with no results. I read somewhere that the SI batteries most likely need to be changed. I will tear into that next weekend and see what happens. Thanks again guys.

Already has the dual pipe "i" exhaust on the SETA's.

My SETA tach needs a good smack on the dash right above it sometimes to get it working. My SI lights, never worked, they are pointless anyway unless you need reminders to change oil.

Easy easy swap to plastics, nice find. I love my super eta for putting around. Its gonna be goin a little more "super" soon though. Great starting car. Diggin the Rot.

Thanks again for the compliments guys. I really feel that I have made a good choice with this one. I just ordered a Bentley manual and now im on the hunt for some plastic bumpers. Take care.
