other than over-sharpening it and cranking the saturation after trying to fix the white balance.... :dot:
I can't say I agree w/ everyone shitting on your car, but that bumper is pretty fugly, and that's brought out even more by those fog lights. nice locations though, too bad about the dirt, that's frustrating (been there, done that)
i'll disagree with dan on the statement that these pictures lack composition. this first one just needed a few tweaks to be a little more interesting.
asubimmer, your take on the ps route just took a wrong turn somewhere, here's my take on the situation.
first of all, your car is black. black cars are generally more difficult to photograph because your camera's meter will do one of two things. 1) it will compensate thinking that the black car has no light coming off of it, therefore overexposing the photo and blowing out your hilights. or 2) it will compensate for the brightly lit background and leave no detail for your subject, which was the case here. if it were me, i would've done two exposures, one for the car and one for the background and then mashed the two together in photoshop for an evenly lit scene or get a reflector and shine as much light as i could at the front to the middle of the car.
i ps'ed your photo a bit, it was a 5 minute job. i layered off your car, brought up the values in your car and then lowered the values in the background. if i had taken more time with it, im sure it would've been nicer looking, but like i said, it was just a 5 minute job. i also cropped it to get rid of the negative space in the foreground. your car is already black, why do you need a black road in front of it? at least this way, everything has nice warm colors and then your black subject on the bottom right. your eyes lead toward it right away due to the shift in colors.
