I finally got my dream seats. They are e46 leather sports but in manual, which isnt very common I found. I looked for these seats for over a year and finally found them on ebay. They weigh 45 lbs each and its nice having everythign work perfectly and smoothly. I can even raise the seat up while i am sitting in it. I found a little surprise while i was putting them in my car....

....two bolts line up perfectly. The front mounting point towards the center councle and the seat belt runner point. So i only need to drill two holes instead of 4.

I need to figure out somthing for the seat belt but it shouldnt be to hard and the e30 one snaps into the e46 one.

Now get a black back seat and black floor mats.

I don't like them. They look a lot like vaders, which I don't like in E30's, either. They don't fit the design or style of the interior, or the car as a whole.

I think it wouldn't stick out so much if you had a black interior. Cool find, though.

                i bet they're comfy

awesome that they went in so smooth.

along the lines of the black door-pulls-
i wonder if it would be feasible to spray-dye kick/speaker panels and perimeters of the door cards..
                .. similar to this:

I think it’d tie your interior together well.

Nice. My mom's E46 sport seats (manual too, but 'ette) are way too wide to hold me in though, and I'm 6'3" 210lbs. I've actually bruised my knees from bracing against the door and console during hard driving.

I have an E46 coupe in addition to my E30, and I find that the E30 sport seats are more comfortable and supportive. The E46 sport seats are way, way, way too wide for me. I'm 6', 165# and there is seriously about 1.5" of space between my torso and the bolster on EACH SIDE.

I dont think they look like vaders at all unless you really strech it. I have never liked vaders in an e30 or e36.

I might go all black but i really like two tone. I think i will start out with this setup.

The e30 sport seats are more suportive no doubt. I knew that going into this setup but unless i find e30 sport seats that have all the functions work just as tight as the day they were built then i will rock these. Maby i will build a dd to keep some time and these might find a home in them.
