    Freshened up some things

My side mouldings were chipped to hell (well not really, but they annoyed the crap out of me), and my door handles were faded. So, I decided to finally get around to 'freshening' them up:

    Before:

    During:

    My cheerleaders

    After:

Next, I'm going to paint the tailights red :O.

What did you use to fill in the chips?

      Nice work.

Thanks, I basically followed the writeup that was on this forum. I sanded them first, really focusing on the metal part. After washing them with soap, I then used a few coats of duplicolor self etching primer. After an hour or so, I then used a few coats of Duplicolor flat black spray enamel.

I actually went back and sanded them better than what the pic shows. I'll have better pics in the light in a bit.

Oh no...really? Shit man, if that is the stuff I am thinking of, it has basically no UV protection and will turn milky in a few weeks. I hope you used "Bumper Coating" from DupliColor, it is excellent.

It would suck to have to do such a nice job over again!

Ah crap, Well I didn't see "bumper trim paint" but this should work. On the back it says "formulated for durable, glossy long-lasting finish. It will resist fading, chipping, stains, weather and corrosion. Ideal for cars, trailers, RV's and other auto accessories."

So if it craps out on me, il be pretty mad. Hoping it wont though :)

You probably don't want glossy for trim parts, unless that's what you're going for.
