side skirts-im looking for the mtech 2 side skirts but i only want the bottom part of em i dont want the panel thing i dont really like it so im looking right now

I will say that yes it definitely is a replica kit .

About wanting just the side skirts though , you will not be able to run the OE skirts without the side cladding due to their mounting system .

Eurostyle Designs , aka Felip, makes and sells the side skirt replicas that you can run sans body cladding .
That is what Qimis has on his much heralded E30 .

Not bad, but it looks weird without the side skirts. And that rear apron has a huge wave in the bottom of it. Overall though, it looks pretty good.

uhm, I removed a OEM mt2 kit from a cabrio, 1/4's & fender panels click/slided into upper area of side skirts, but not door sections.

Teaguer, will it (eventually) bulge out due to lack of side supports, or is it something else ?

you know how the m3 skirts look flush with doors bottom area, well, picture this things being a 1/4" in too thick, door will look recessed at best.

dammit... this shot closed the door on my thoughts of mixing this kit and look



i was a big fan of the mtechII kit because it was different and looked a bit better than a stock late model. then i came to thinking the mtechII look is over done and wanted key aspects of the kit like moulding delete and skirt.
but after seeing this pucture, im pretty much disgusted in my idea and will sell my original mtechII kit and extra components.

btw, you can take the side skirt and shave the top part back 1/4" and it will still mount up just fine. this would make it look just as if it didnt need the other side pannels. you would want to use some 3m double sided tape along the top the make sure its not going anywhere, but shaving off that part will not change the mounting integrity.
