You all remember this hunk of crap I had to drag home from an older ladies house after giving her a measly 50 dollars for the treasured E30 BMW that all of us love? If not you just learned a lot. But if you do, you remember it looked a little like this.

Well after a few long long weeks and a lot of cursing and bitching this 325es has come a long way. I purchased all of the front end parts, though they aren’t attached yet, they are in my possession. After a hood and a little bit of paint removing (using zep-off plus a razor blade to do the work) the car now looks like this

Still isn’t the most beautiful thing on the planet, but it runs like a fucking champ. Got a fan from an 84 318i and put it on the engine. Illustrated here

And it is now my dd. Yes, I trust the car and it is reliable enough that I drive it everyday. Now I have heard a few “smart” remarks about the car, but it doesn’t bother me. Registration for 2 years was only 23.88.

The thing that astonished me was the emissions. The first guy who tried to take it on the test blew ass and didn’t follow the line at all. So they had another guy do it and this is the result.

I was astounded that it did so well. That piece of shit that hadn’t moved in 4 years and hadn’t ran in two years, with 2 weeks of on and off driving passed witht hose numbers. This BMW is fucking awesome.
Now the hood closes all the way because I had to “persuade” the front end out a little bit to allow clearance for the radiator.

It’s a lot different from the 02 SE-R that I drove for a whole year, but I love the BMW even more. And as far as speed goes, they are too close to call. The SE-R is quick, but the 20 year old BMW holds its ground. Surprisingly.

I love 4k rpm burnouts through intersections to piss off somebody behind you. Its awesome. But I kinda gotta stop doing that, cause tires do cost money. But I do love the bitch, and I am working on making it better and better. It will take a while, but it has already come so far.
Just a closing pic of my buddies 1981 280zx turbo and my 1986 E30 BMW 325es.

An engine shot!
