Wow, and so THIS car is what switched to you BMWs??

actually it was an 84 318i with a 2.2 litre m10 turbo that switched and got me hooked onto e30's, this was just a hunk of shit available for 50 dollars and i took it. i like working on it. and i have learned a lot.

I say he is in good shape for getting the car for $50. It has to be a good learning experience and I don't understand why everybody is whining about it. They for sure would have bought that thing for $50. I would have if I had a place to put it and what not. If it had fenders and a front end, a normal looking hood, and a decent radiator it doesnt look like it would be THAT bad. Keep it up and dont let everyone get you down about the car.

thank to you too man. i do have all the front end pieces in my backyard, just no time to attach them, and i am looking for a new radiator too. and the hood has been painted. just silver for now, but i will get a better paint job in the future. thanks again.

that rear driver's side angle shot is so deceiving as to the shape of the car. I hope you get the front fixed up. And think of it this way, you got the fully loaded version of the eta: LSD, 13 button OBC, premium component speaker locations, M-tech I steering wheel, leather sport seats. Unfortunately you're missing the front spoiler...

whats wrong with having a crappy car? I'm fixing up a $300 325is right now, salvage title to boot.

I'm planning on going to law school and I don't want to bring my jeep with me wherever I go since it is VERY nice, and i've seen what law school does to cars.

This bmw on the other hand is built like a tank for a damn 2 door compact car, i'm very impressed with it. It gets good mileage and is extremely cheap to insure and register.

I dunno if you could be lucky enough to find one that would be safe for rat duty for $500. Most of them need a full suspension and brake makeover . . . they usually are sporting 15+ year old bushings and bal joints.

you should get a new air box to TB boot, they are like 30 bucks, you might lose all the duct tape HP though..
