It was a Friday (the start of the 7 day grace period), and I had planned to go to the office and renew that Monday, since that's when I got paid again, Well to my surprise, the insurance company had cancelled their grace period policy, and I was without insurance coverage.

So by that measure, I was at fault in an accident with no insurance. License suspended for one year. I was fully responsible for the damage to my car and hers, and I currently still owe just under $5k to her insurance company, which I am still paying off. I also still owe about $1k to the city for the ambulance ride, and to the hospital for my ER care, which I'm also still paying off. I have an SR-22 on my insurance that drops of in December of next year, and the accident drops off in August of 2008. All because my insurance company failed to notify me of a change in their policies. I sent them several letters explaining what happened, and every time, all they tell me is that they sent me a letter informing me of the change, which I never got.
i fucking hate insurance companies! they are fucking scammers! sorry to hear about all that crap.
People in florida cant even afford a house because of the insurances.

Yep. That was my first E30, and I'm the dumbass who destroyed it. Jordan, Andrew and I had just swapped an M20B25 into it about 3 weeks prior, and I went out driving thinking I was the bomb, and oversteered around a wet corner into the oncoming lane, head-on into a Honda Accord at about 50. My seat belt didn't lock and I hit the steering wheel, fractured my sternum, and lost my license for a year. That was the longest year of my life. I learned a lesson, and learned it the hard way.

    Stock suspension sucks!
