    dear r3v, hi.

hello all. i recently purchased an 85 323i with an M50 motor.
so i wanted to share with you guys cuz ive been home from
school and work because of all the snow.

ive always loved the e30 body style, so when this car came up
for sale, i had to go take a look. i ended up buying it cuz it was
soo fast. i want to fix all of its little problems/restore it, and upgrade
    some things on the way.

some car history from me; my first car was a 1986 Corolla GTS (ae86)
i bought that in high school kept it for several years, upgraded the
whole suspension, autoxed it and had some great fun. i sold it cuz
i was tired of all the problems it had. then i bought a 1993 Lexus LS400.
cuz for some stupid reason i felt like i needed a mature car. and started
to go VIP with it. sold it cuz i got bored. and wanted somthing more fun
to drive. thats why i bought the e30. i want to start doing the suspension
more to get ready for the autox season.

    here are the pics:

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to R3v .

That looks like a fun little 323 with the twin-cam in there .

Thats the first tine I've seen the late model valence on a early car with Euro bumpers .
    Definitely different .

Welcome bud. THe euro bumps would look good if you could fix the gap between the front bump and the front valence.

Nice, I saw that car on craigslist a while back and thought about getting it myself. In the snow that is such a beautiful color for the car, its amazing.

What kind of problems were you having with the 'rolla? My buddy has been beating on his for the last year or so and its still solid, no problems from anything really.

i like all your cars, and your photography of the Ae86 is very well done. However, did I notice something here, or am I imagining things?

^ Could be a mismatch, but I've noticed that the fenders discolor on E30s when the paint gets old. Mine are doing that too, and they're original.

Sweet car! I'd actually thought about getting an LS400 myself, but never found one that I really liked in the area. Then I decided to keep my car. Good luck with the repairs, and hang in there. :)

Late model front valence...euro bumpers. Very interesting combination...

So what do you have in store for your E30?

Car looks good. Love the euro bumpers just need the trim on the rear. I don't think youll be able to fix the gap on the front valence so that it can work with the euro bumpers without a shit load of work. looks good anyways
