This is not the greatest thread in the world...

    this is just a tribute.

Some of you know that I sold my car a while ago, I've been waiting until the buyer picked it up to give my old blackie one more spin in the interwebs. She's officially gone as of friday, so here it goes.

This pic is from the day of the Test drive.

Installation period- 40hr work weekend of non-stop Skyscraper pizza and Underoath to get us amped up enough to finish the project...

Here's the first pic of the final product. I was very pleased with all the work I'd accomplished, and the car could now officially be dubbed "Heidi 2"

    check out that sexy toe.

Almost a week after we (s0urce and I) finished the car's suspension swap, we drove up to Berkeley, CA to visit a friend of mine. The car proved to be reliable and worthy of the 1k + mile trip. I fell in love all over again

Some of my first "wheel turn pics" In all honesty, I did it because most of the car magazines also turned the wheels into the camera. the rest of the pics here are in chronological order, stories behind them all. no need to describe them though. enjoy the rest...

The car has gone to an awesome new owner, all i could have asked for really. I'm now in the process of saving up money for another e30, probably an early 318. I will be back in the game before I know it.

thanks for looking, and please keep the unnecessary posts to yourself. I don't want another locked thread under my belt.

:( makes me sad. I do miss my e30 too.

But quick question, why an early 318?

Because they are better than late model cars.

You should have never sold that Diamantschwarz you had...

...but this car was one of my faves for a very long time. Glad to see you're staying with the E30 instead of your crazy plans for a Mini Cooper and all...

Other than less sound deadening and a few other things what's the big difference? Or am I missing the point of a joke?

Well the ealry 318i is a joke , that goes without saying . :D

But with that being said they are the lightest E30 to start out with .

Those wheels shouldn't look good imo but they look fantastic!
