but why is the license plate low?

European plates have no holes in them. you buy a license plate holder that mounts to the car, then the license plate clips into the holder and is held snug with no screws. the license plate holder is mounted with two screws that are in the middle of the plate (US cars have 4 holes, 2 at the top and two at the bottom)

my car is on temp tags because the shocks were worn, so they give me these us style plates, since i don't bother making new holes in the middle of the temp plates, the thing can just ride low for a little bit.

87 325eta - no tint, interior is too nice to hide. and why pay $18 per center cap when i paid $65 for the rims and tires and will throw them away in a few months when better wheel arrive?
