Charlie, I'd say your looks rough and needs paint but I know that paint is not needed for speed. looks like you had fun out there. As I said thanks for the tour. 8)

It needs a cut & polish, not to mention a wash, all scheduled in the next month. I'm convinced there's good paint on there, just underneath a layer of oxidation.

              Nice video, Charlie.

I've always wondered, what is the purpose of the tape on the headlights on track cars?

Works to minimize the shattering of glass if there's an impact on track. Glass is a real PITA to clean up. Same sort of reason some tracks won't let people run antifreeze in their radiators.

So you keep around your old sealed beam buckets and put lexan covers over the holes.

Yea, most tracks only let you run water in your radiator (for races, HPDE's & schools are less restrictive). Ethyl Glycol and other chemicals are hard to clean and very slick.

It's not the prettiest car on the board, but it seems to do very well at its purpose. Function over form owns.

Cool video. If I'm lucky, I might end up at Mid-Ohio this summer......but we'll see how things go. First is Putnam.

Is the motor stock, or is it chipped? I'm curious about the exact conditions of K-stock classing. The Roundel wasn't very clear in its short description. I assume its just simple ECU changes allowed, no coilover, etc. Roll cage required?

Yea, I know it's early apexed, it's how you want to take that turn to set up for the carroussel following it.
