My dad is thinking about parting the car out as he is just not enjoying the car that much and wants to put money into his '70 2002. The receipts tally up to over 30K spent on it in the last 3 years. The reason for parting is the body is in terrible shape and he just doesn't want to spend time on swapping over everything to a clean bodied car.

Most everything will be available, I will make a FS thread when he decides to go for it. Package deals available too.

        Thanks,
        Ben

I think a supercharged S52 would be a nice setup for that.

It is what it is, he wants to go in a different direction.

At this point the complete drivetrain, turbo system, intercooler, exhaust, stand alone, etc. is For Sale, minus the transmission & differential. The head has less than 800 miles on it from being rebuilt with solid lifters and SS exhaust valves. The entire setup has approx. less than 7K on it. Has daily driven as well as 2 track days and 1 auto-x.

Looking for $12K, but willing to entertain offers. I will try to start scanning invoices over the next few days as well. Any interested local parties are encouraged to come and check the car out in person.

Will be making a FS thread as soon as I compile everything...

Sad to see such a nice fun car get parted out.
Hopefully it'll live on through others cars

I was wondering what you'd want for the turbo setup.
$12k is fair but good luck getting it.

Price is now $10K obo for the drivetrain minus the transmission and differential. This includes the custom driveshaft that allows a ZF to be mated to an M42. PM or email me.

Aww, bummer. It's rare you see someone with a narrowbody/non-M car get aluminum control arms, that's usually a pretty good indicator that the build is going to be pretty serious.

Yup, yup. Unfortunately with the E36 style coilover stuff, there is a wheel centering issue so we would need the 96+ M Arms to correct it. The car still drives ok with the aluminum arms though.

Thanks for the compliments, I have a binder full of receipts that I would happily scan for any interested parties, but doubtful I will find them on r3v. ;)
