alright here it is. MY 318is as of now

Alright so for about the past 8 months i have been working on my car i bought it last year for $3000 WAY too much but i needed a car. At first i (don't shoot me) hated the look of E30's but after looking online and seeing the potential i was like why not i might learn to love 'em. So I bought it. OH GOD the problems. But even with all the issues i loved driving the thing handles like a God i thought. *remember this was with everything stock*. so after tooling around in this for a while I decided to start repairing and upgrading. so here are the pics of what i bought and what i have done. BTW I am only 17 so I do not have a ton of money to blow on my car. But I love it.
THE BEATER as everyone referred to it as.

So then I was said enough is enough time to work on it so i started with the handling replaced rear shock mounts upgraded to urethane, replaced both control arms, both tie rods, all sway bar linkage, upgraded to a eibach performance Sway bars in the front and rear, then came the ride so in went eibach Pro-kit Springs, And bilstein sport shocks. With all that came this.

    and

So then came all the minor repairs, which included, replacing all the belts, upgrading my sound system, Repairing the Air conditioning, and fixing all the vacuum leaks.

after upgrading/ fixing these things I decided I needed to repaint it, fix the left rear quarter, Replace the (as it came to be known) Bondo hood, and Reinstall the front lip. So here are the pictures just before paint, with the new hood. Also is the Rear quarter, when I removed the paint I was horrified to find an inch (dead serious an inch) of bondo covering what appeared to be a rear ender. so onto the AJAX it went to bang it out. Just look i got it to only be a thin layer of filler like it is supposed to be.

    The hood

And after it was painted I started it and heard it the awful tapping of the tappets so off came the repulsive valve cover

and in came my friend from the dealership to help with removing the tappets (needed him for special tools AKA BMW113-240 and BMW113-244. then on reinstallation I looked at the cover and said "no way in hell" so Cleaned it and on went 500* paint and came out with this.

    Painting the Intake soon
So now I am pretty happy with my car and what it looks like especially for only being a senior in high school.
So here are some pictures of what it currently looks like

So ya that is basically my car I am now in love with e30's. and ya so now is where you guys come in what should i do next. Engine work, lighting, wheels, or blow up the car and film it. you guys choose I do reserve the right to over ride the last option sorry.:)

Nice car. You're doing things better than I did as a senior in highschool

And yeah, it's disappointing when you start poking around your car and start finding Bondo. My car was also hiding a rear end accident.

Ya mine wasn't exactly hiding it if u looked at it when the sun was out you could see it if looked at 45*'s. you can kind of see it in the 3rd photo it kind of appears wavy.

Nice car. I like the 318is cars a lot. Especially in red. Engine looks great too.

And I'm another senior just waiting to graduate. So congrats for getting this much done with yours, I know how tough it is balancing work, school, and your love for your E30 together.

And I'd say go for wheels. As was said above, 15" would be great. I'd say Ronal weaves.

If you dont want wheels, just drain out all the motor oil and see how long the car runs without any life-blood.

                (Dont really do that..)
