Thanks dude. That was/is my goal... since everyone says the DBs are horrible and never look good. They'll be working better when I find the time to plastic weld out the front and rear sidemarkers.

And what suspension are you running?

Paint is actual copper, very light patina in those pics. Redone last week, looks like this now:



Here's another pic from this weekend in MD... trim was sanded and resprayed last week, but you can't tell now with all the effing road trip dirt. Doesn't matter, the pics that count were taken the day before. ;)



Suspension is a GC/Bilstien setup with some fairly substantial tweaks up front. Rear is all the way down. Front is all the way up... with full suspension travel.

Now, too keep this thread on topic, this is the only acceptable ride height for a plastic bumper car:

I was in McHenry/Deep Creek Lake (western) for the Dubs on the Lake show. I was in the VW scene for awhile and still have a ton of friends that are, so it's a great chance to hang out and catch up. And recruit some people away from FWD.

I've had a number of hondas, and done right they're reliable, fun, and not too harsh on the eyes. The EG is nothing special, I built it as a strict winter ride - JDM headlights with yellow H4Hs, early 80s VW Mk1 alloys with 155/80/13 michelin snows, and 6 speakers, 2 amps, sub, and Harmon/Kardon iPod interface so I can crank it up and pretend I don't totally look like little miss sally econocar. After using the E30 as winter transportation for two years, the EG is like driving a sno-cat.

It's getting a simple respray and a for sale sign too. I think it's time again for a car that can get out of its own way.
