The surprise will have to wait until the next event, because it did not make it on time.
I wanted to do one post with the pictures and videos, along with all the info but TJ posted this up before I even had a chance to organize my thoughts.
I have to go to the laptop to list everyone that donated.
As for the qualifying, I was not able to qualify. I was doing very good but I was not spot on every run. There were flaws and the pressure made them even more obvious on my 2 qualifying runs. They also cut me deep when they said "no ebrake" which is a tool I use a lot to initiate drifts. I used it lightly to ensure a sure shot at getting my drift started and hoping they wouldnt catch it, but watching the video (which is on YouTube), it was obvious that I used it.
Anywho, I'm not out of the race yet. This was one chance... it was important to me because it was the one closest to home. But there will be other opportunities. May 20th (which is to be confirmed for sure) they will be in north Florida. I am going to start saving up and selling some stuff to get the money I need to make it there.
Hopefully next time the fact I dont have to get used to a new suspension and getting an extra practice track day to work on my drifting without ebrake will yield me with the extra little work I need to earn my license.
As always, TJ and I will keep you posted with every event I go. A few of us are securing a private track day on May 6th to practice. A full day of track time in between 15 of us. The track owner is cool with us and he's giving us one heck of the deal including insurance, so all we gotta deal with is the EMT cost.

Kevin, I'm sorry if I offended you. Perhaps I should charge these guys $100-200 an hour like I normally do for photoshoots.
No I'm not posting a sample, that kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it? I didn't edit any of the photos besides resizing, so what you see if what you get. I didn't expect to sell any here, but this is a copy/paste post from the local forum where all the actual drivers post, I thought they might want some prints of their own cars.Leave a comment:

Yeah photographers get no love. Gotta eat somehow right TJ?
Very sick photos. Erick how are you doing anyways? You're still qualifying or what? Update us! Oh and what was the big surprise for those who contributed? I wanna know!Leave a comment:

Novel Idea that someone may actually value their time/effort/materials/labor/editing skills instead of giving away prints that get spread around, reproduced, ripped off.
Damn TJ... how crazy is that?!? ;)Leave a comment:

Sickness. I envy your style and ability to go drift as much as you do.
If you are ever in SoCal, let me know. I've got a 5k$+ pro camera setup and we could get some high quality footage of you drifting. 24p ftw.Leave a comment:
