i'm suprised everyone thinks it would be easier to totally swap a built motor and all the trim and everything than fix a quarter+rear panel.
take the sawzall to the junkyard and get new parts, some hacking slashing and welding will get you back in action.
it's not as difficult as having the patience to roller a whole car.

Just throwing this out there, but can I drive your car? Seriously, I'll find a drift event up there and even bring the tires. I cant help but be curious how much more dramatic is an m30 on boost as opposed to the m20.

mulishaflesh - I appreciate you standing up for me, although I don't need it. there really isn't much of an "other" side to this argument. Alot if not most of these guys have seen my car from the beginning of my project. They know it's not any normal E30 and that this car is very important to me, so in that respect, they feel bad. All in all, I got what I deserved and will have to bounce back from it. bottom line.
    Good start.

EL O EL. Welcome to Members Rides. As long as you get BBS weaves, Mtech 1 rear spoiler, 'is' sideskirts and front lip, tugjobs are guaranteed. Stray from the beaten path, and the consequences are often severe.

    1+1=3.

    Ya, this is good advice.

    Serious content ahead:
I'm sure Frank has learned plenty from his accident. He knew that there were going to be comments about driving while impaired, otherwise he wouldn't have posted it up. He's probably just filled with self-loathing right now.

What's done is done. Just move forward from this accident. The consequences could have been a lot more severe--your friends could have gotten hurt, or you could have gotten into an accident with another car or pedestrian (seriously doubt it, but this one time I was on I-95 at around 1am, on an exit ramp, and this guy jumped out in front of the car like a squirrel. You know, waiting until the last second to hop out in front of the car, then skitter across the road. My friend was driving, and we were both stone cold sober).

I know there are people out there that get off on other's misery but just like making mistakes and learning from them is part of life, so is your brothers/friends/etc giving you a hard time for all kinds of shit...

I'm sorry about what happened bro and hindsight is always 20/20. What matters is what you do from now on.

Also, before I install a nice deck in my car and put some nice wheels on the car, I get an alarm at least if not an alarm and add comprehensive coverage to my insurance policy. Likewise, if one of the mods on your car causes it to be more powerful and harder to control, adding collision coverage is in order as well. Good luck.

I wonder how long it would take you to type that using a blow stem for your bed computer if you'd been hit by this "minor mistake" made by a drunk driver.
Youd probably be interupted in the middle to be rolled over so you didn't get bed sores, and to have your bedpan changed.

    Harsh example? Yes.
He was lucky. So was anyone else who was "on the road" that night.
Does he need to be further castrated? Nope, he's heard peoples opinions.

First of all, get the pic of Stu's E30 out of your avatar.

Second, he posted the accident and how it happened on a public internet forum. He invited the comments by posting the story and pictures. Not to mention, he lied about the circumstances right off the bat.

Third, he was admittedly driving drunk. The consquences were rightfully deserved, I don't care what you or anyone else says. He put the lives of his passengers as well as his own in a deadly situation, and walked away from it. He got what he deserved, and was lucky all he got was that.

Fourth, who are you, his dad? Why are you running to his defense? No one, including him, asked you to rub your sandy vag all over this and stick up for him. He just admitted that it was all his mistake and that he accepts responsibility for it. Your comments are uneeded, unwanted, and serve no purpose other than to show what a tool you are.

    1) r3v is officially filled with cocks, assholes, and bitches. No sympathy there.

    2) his car isn't a normal tuned e30, people. if he gets on it, he burns rubber in mostly every gear, for a few hundred feet. without trying (if im correct).

    3) who's to say something else wasn't in the mix? water, oil on the streets, or maybe it was too smooth of pavement, like here it Texas where its often in most intersections.

    4) he doesn't need everyones bullshit about 'you got what you deserved' or 'let me buy this or that' (i was joking about the motor btw, and he knows it).

Why cant we all just reach out and help him. instead of feeding him bullshit to the head saying part it out, or drop everything and quit. I was just thinking....what about driving the car as is for a while? If it drives fine take it to some track evets, driving schools, etc. Nobody cares what your car looks like out there. And if you tell them you made a mistake with too much power and want to learn to handle it in the correct environment they will definately support you in that.

you know? fine. I deserve it. I was expecting to get shit for this. i know I made a mistake. My friends wanted me to take them for a drive so fine, i went out. I made a mistake and it's my mistake. I have nobody to be pissed off at but me..

You have to learn the hard way and I did. Everything that I worked for.. for 1 1/2 years is gone. All the late nights, 2 months of painting it, waiting for hundreds of parts to come in by mail, I turned every wrench on this stupid thing. Look i'm not looking for sympathy, nor do I care if i get it. I do realize I lost alot of respect on the forum, which is odd b/c i actually care about the forum. Everybody makes mistakes and the only one here who has to pay for them is me here. I've thought alot about this and i could fix it up, but I realize that I lost alot of credibility on the forum. have I learned my lesson? Hell yes. I will never drive even with a beer in me ever ever again.
