    used to have a 2nd generation rx7

I used to have a second generation rx7. I dreamed about getting the 3rd generation but couldn't afford a new one. When the prices dropped to where I could get one, I noticed that 90% of the ones for sale with 70K miles or so list new motors and turbos. I'm not sure what's wrong with them, but they don't seem to hold up too well. They're beautiful and fast though.

The reason Mazda pulled the sale of the FD3S from the US was because of all the warranty claims on the motors. They just don't seem to last very long.

The rotary engine needs rebuilding quite frequently...

But here in Malaysia there's tonnes of it.. One thing for sure, labour charges here are cheap, so rebuilding isn't all that expensive...

            Looks great man.

Looks is about where it ends for the FD's though. Mazda tried to make the car too light (around 2700), and it shows. They fall apart. I know 3 people that have sold their RX7's for E36 M3's.

They look mean though. Just my $.02
