Not Normally A Euro-Stretch Fan, But...

I spotted this cool E30 Cabrio on Borbets yesterday. I'm not normally a euro stretch fan at all, but this one was really well done (I'm on the fence about the exhaust tips...they are sort of "euro", after all)...

I had to leave it outside during this trip. With what little time I had at home since the S50 car came in, I haven't been able to make arrangements for long term storage for the 3rd "garageable" car (M Coupe, M5, S50 E30). With a two car garage, that means one has to sleep outside for the time being. The M5 is, frankly, the most replaceable of those 3 cars...so it got the short end of the stick.

But the HOA keeps putting notes on it saying "Please remember that guest parking spaces are for guests, not for resident parking". Fucking old busybodies on the board that just walk around citing people for any little violation (like washing a car, which is agianst the rules, or leaving your trash can out past 9AM the day after trash pickup -- also against the rules).

            Yeah, it's bad.

Lease is up June 20. I'm not sure if I'm gonna extend this lease another year or try to rent a house nearby in a non-HOA area (Clairemont, woot!).

What the fuck? You cant even wash your car? Now THAT's bullshit. What do they expect you to do? Go to the nearest gas station or car wash place? I hate automated car washes, it just pushes all the crap in the crevices and they just completely suck, and for that reason, I've never been through one.

                  ;)

I just tear those ones up.

For what it's worth I'm actually supporting a small Mexican family by providing them cars to drive...

You should read the article on the university that did the car wash study. Washing by hand was incredibly damaging, and even the automated washes with the big ass rubber things that flog your car did exponentially less damage over the course of one year (25 washes in the study). Its really interesting, I always hated automated washes too until I read the article. It's somewhere on bigcoupe.com...

Back on topic, I like it; not a fan of the tips;l like the front bumper. Those tires don't appear to be that stretched, do they?

not low enough to pull it off, that or the tires are undersized.

Only $6.93 a gallon, darn exchange rate. Really not that bad as their prices have remained steady compared too ours. It has been in the range of 1.25 to 1.3X for last two years.

We've been in Garmisch-P for a week doing a photoshoot.

We were up near Chiemsee for a week before this.

I agree on all counts. No, the tires are not THAT stretched, but it definitely looks "Euro" to someone from the USA.
