    New member with pics!

Just an intro thread - Name is Will and I currently live in Virginia Va beach area. In the Air Force and 27. I just recently purchased a 1989 325i cabriolet 5spd. I do not know much about BMWs but I do hope to learn as much as possible about E30s. The wife and I plan on restoring it and making it stand out a little as well as tracking it when we can.

Oh and I think I was lucky, went to a local auction and picked it up tax, tags, and title all for 2gs.
BTW- I didnt buy those rims, Im currently looking for something a little more classic.

    Here's the pics

There are a few problems though. Any advice or info is greatly appreciated.

The rear driver side window doesn't roll down - any troubleshooting tips?
    The paint of course
    The rear window is hazed
Interior is pretty trashed in the back seat and the fronts are ok but not great
Definitely need new Seat belt buckles

Im not up on the verts but I do have a question for you and anyone that wants to answer. Your car being a 89 why does it have metal bumpers and early tails. If thats the way it is I guess I need to start paying attention to them more. Nice find none the less!

Negative, they were just lagging behind...91's finally got plastics, and they were made into 92. I think even a very very small number of 93's were produced, though that was officially the first e36 cabby year.

I would like to upgrade the bumpers and stuff... a nice classic bumper like those on an M3 would be nice. I wouldnt mind making a clone, but I need to find out more info.

Rear window will run you +/- 400$ as the whole top needs to come off. Paint can be brought back to life with some good wax.

                      enjoy it,

Thanks guys, I will be asking more questions as time goes on.

I plan on doing as much myself as I can. I just bought a Haynes manual and have been google-ing..lol as much info as I can.

The car still had some get up and go to it too.

I plan on doing a radiator flush, oil, plugs, air filter this weekend.

                          Any other maint. advice?
