Your friend got bent. I paid $100 for my Dinan Mats from the dealer.
Dinan is overpriced, I agree. At the time I bought my supercharger kit, the only other company that was offering them was RMS and ESS. Dinan's kit is expensive, but its engineered very well. Much better than the other two kits that were available at the time. It wasnt until 6 months later that AA began offering their SC. If I had to do it again, I would probably go Dinan just because the Vortech has more room to play than the Rotrex in terms of raising the boost.
Dinan has a "point" system by which your car qualifies for the badge, which is 10 points by the way. The supercharger gets you an automatic 10 pts and things like floormats are only worth 1 pt. It's all on the Dinan website...
Dont forget, Dinan mods have no effect on your factory warranty.Originally posted by Simon SWhen a dream is a dream for too long - it becomes a fantasy..Comment

Thanks for the help witht he pics. So, im not the same Willis from bimmerforums. And as far as the mods, It has the Dinan stage 2 suspension with bilstein sports, the dinan exaust, and the dinan performance chip. The badge is a fake though, from eurobadges. The backstory is as follows: I used to work at an independant BMW shop called Black Forest Werkshop. While i was there, the shop got a contract with Dinan to be a liscensed distributor. Since i was an employee at the shop, i was technically a Dinan employee, so i got the employee discount(which made the parts LESS than at-cost). I figured about $1000 wasnt a bad deal for performance parts for my fresh E30 with 106,000 mi., so i went for it. I'll try to get more pics up as i take them.sigpicComment

Dinan badge.
Also, as far as the badge, anyone who has dealt directly with Dinan knows how much of a bitch it is to get anything done. They didnt include the badge with my order for some reason(though the parts totalled more than 10 pts), so after weeks of trying to get the badge from Dinan, i gave up and bought one from eurobadges. Heres a crappy pic of my rear suspension, pre-swaybar installation.sigpicComment

Those are dinan blue springs, no doubt about that. I thought all of their suspension kits came with koni shocks though....?'88 325icComment

I never fell for the whole spend thousands of dollars on overpriced,
mediocre parts and get a Dinan badge thing.
In your case it was advantageous to go with Dinan because of your employee discount but for normal people to pay list prices is just
idiotic, $450 matsComment
