BMWCCA/Porsche/Mini joint clean car contest Queen Mary
Almost positive its a 2.8L m54 out of a z3. I believe they have allu heads and are thus light than other m50/m52s/m54.
Its an awesome car, but I didn't know it was twin turboed? Thats nuts.
I have a question about the special porsche coupe. Why does it say 48 will go to P-car of America club, one to the p-car musuem, and then 1 to Porsche car club of america member? Did they give one away?
Sick looking car nontheless, and with 380hp, sorta reminds you that there are Porsches that are still worth owning that aren't named turbos, gt2s, or rs's.
It is now my goal in life to own a restored E24 and an E34 M5. After that I will ask from no more from the BMW gods, and buy a Honda for my daily driver.
Exactly why I stated the M5X comment. I didnt know which one of the many variants it was. But teej likes being an asshole. I humor him.

Haha seriously. I know its a 2.8L, and if it doesn't look like the one under digitalwave's hood than its a m54. Mystery solved!
Whats that guys name again, something like Paul Cacin or Paul C something? The website for that car is sick, especially when you consider it was a 4 year project with thousands of labor hours invovled.
I've never seen one of those carbon air boxes either, every detail of that 2002 is taken to the next level.

Paul Cain. The airbox was custom, but it looks SO factory because he went through the trouble of getting the labels that show part numbers and german stuff looking like a dealer piece. Also the "BMW Power" letters look like (no shit) they are dont in like inlaid pearl or onyx or something. FUcking insane.
