6 years into the making, 4 years of parts sourcing, and 1 trip to Germany to create an original early model sport package E30.
This build was not to create a Concours' car, but to create a drivers car that maintains its primary purpose of being out of the garage, and not a garage queen.
Many after market components were utilized throughout the construction, however any OEM BMW components were used before going outside the realm. For instance for Oil temp monitoring, an E30 M3 Gauge Cluster has been used. Instead of an after market custom black headliner, the OEM 91 318is headliner was used and installed.
The car was taken apart completely in 2006 and work began, repairing rust holes, dents, and any other factory/wear and tear issues. The antenna hole, as well as the rear qtr seams were removed to maintain an overall clean look.

Work continued until the end of 2006, when a issue with the motor caused another step to be taken. Currently powered by a 10.0:1 2.85L M20 w/ a Shrick 284/272 cam, it provides me enough entertainment, while maintaining a proper era specific motor.
Here are pictures of the car, finally in what I call a completed state. Next is the R3VLimited Pro3 Race car Project, which will allow me to track a car I don't mind writing off.
