Already been there, not much different. Usually I'm used to people being rude, I've been on the honda boards for the last six years. But there are certain times when its completely uncalled for and that was one of them.
Of course I realize this is a web forum and everyone is a bad ass behind the keyboard, I also realize I probably blew it out of proportion, but anyway, thats all I have to say.Leave a comment:

Hon2BMW, I wasn't serious but I'm glad you got that off your chest.
You might like e30tech.com better if you think r3v is rude. I'm serious.Leave a comment:

Ummm i can't stand up now if you know what i mean.... I hate it e36 m3's do it everytime!!! lmao
Hon2BMW, ok i think i know how bad it hurts. I think maybe this time you should get some kind of modified car insurance that you record all the money you spent on it and such, then the insurance company will insure it. I know how scary it is to see how much people just don't care. I spent well over 3 weeks picking out my sub and amplifier, well over another 3 weeks to build the box and tune it correctly. Now when i go around i turn heads everywhere. Now when i get closer to my home i tend to keep my stereo down not just so i can sneak into my house, but basically because i have caught 3 different groups of people trying to figure out how to get into my trunk.
Thank god for me staying up late and happening to hear them.
Any ways, no other rides for me, only previous ride was a Chevy Corsica with 200k on it and rebuilt trany and engine with only 10k on it. Bought for 100$ because the guy got coolant into the exhaust and scared himself. Sold for 400$ could have done better but i needed to sell asap to get my 800$ eta with perfect interiorLeave a comment:

If a car is designed by Australians, in Australia, then built in Australia, by Australians, released to the Australian public, it's definitely an aussie muscle car.Well im sorry your obviously going to disagree beeing the australian guy with a V8 e30 lol (that is awesome)...
Look Im not here to argue, I love muscle cars, but in my opinion,
Muscle cars = American cars.
Australian Muscle cars?
Name some?
Holden = GM = American
Ford = American
Damn near everything else = Jap or Euro or ...American
Agree to disagree if you wish.
Sorry to rape your thread, so here is an aussie muscle car I used to own. It should be back in my possession rather soon though.
1976 LH Torana. Mild 454 BBC backed by a 4 speed toploader, 9" disc rear end.

Here is my old hatch built it with my own hands haha. supercharged, gutted, sparco seats, roll cage, full coilover system, swaybars, all kinds of security mods lol. I have owned three hondas before my e30 and I will never go back unless its a daily beater. First the community sucks, second most of them are just plain slow and they take way to much to make fast and fun, third theft, nuff said. I have had my first hatch stolen with in a month of ownership. When I had this black hatch I worried every day about it being stolen. I had a pager alarm, clutch lock, gas pedal lock, fuel pump kill switch, ignition kill switch and would take the damn steering wheel with me. From my experience honda's are just not worth the time, but I am totally jaded. I do miss my old hatch because it handled like a little go cart but love my e30 waaaaay more. Just a better built vehicle.Sure.
I don't know. When someone puts 8 years of work into their car just to have it taken away by a lowlife thief its really disappointing to then have someone make a snide off-handed and inconsiderate remark, it kind of seems class-less and rude.
I was seriously hoping that all the snobbery and idiocracy that plagues the Honda Community wouldn't be here. Unfortunately after reading through the forums today several threads have shown me thats not exactly true.
I am relaxed, but never once have I considered deriding someone who's down on their luck by making an ignorant joke. It may not have been intended to harm, but unfortunately adding a "j/k" does not change the fact that it did.
Especially when you consider that in the big picture E30's are no less common or special than Hondas. I understand that everyone thinks their car is somehow different or otherwise superior to another in some particular aspect. This is why we chose, and continue to choose a particular vehicle over others. But all things aside, I would be buying another Honda if my current living situation allowed me to have a more secure means of storing my vehicle. Luckily, in my particular local 17 year old BMW's are not all that alluring to anyone, especially thieves. Thus it was a large part of my decision to purchase my current car.
I've learned that first impressions are not always the most important, so I hope that at least some of you respect other people and their choice of vehicle. I also hope that the people on this forum are smart enough to not lump people into a group based off the actions of a few, just as I have elected not to do.
Thanks for listening.
I feel alot better now.
Sorry for going off topic.
here are some pics of my old bitch...

I go through a lot of cars but these are my daily's from just this past year.
Sold in May 06

Sold in August 06

Sold in February 07

I downgraded to this 2002 4Runner.

This is my 4th or 5th Toyota truck and I dont know what it is about these things but I absolutely love them. As soon as I finish the E30, I have a bunch of work to do on this thing like a lift etc.
I need a truck but dont want to drive on all year round. I will start looking for a summer daily driver next spring. I'm leaning towards an E38 or E39.Leave a comment:

I've owned a metric fuck ton of E30 Parts cars, however in terms of drivers.
My E30 was my first car, a bone stock 86 automatic eta.
Here it was in its early days
During the Auto - Manual swap, I bought another 86 325 5spd for 450 bucks, was in fairly rough shape, but ran great, this was my daily for several months.
only picture I can find, blue on blue, no heater core, blown speakers, shocks, etc

I really regret selling it, as I'm currently looking for a Pro3 Racecar chassis, but I'm sure its still on the road somewhere, and I did fix it up before selling it.
After i sold the hooptie, I bought a 92 4runner as my daily driver, put 100K miles on that thing and loved every min of it. Was a great rig and took loads of abuse.
I sold that in March, and bought a brand new 2007 Nissan Xterra Off-Road 6SPD, which is my current daily driver. Plenty of power, and is just a great daily driver.
Thats all at the moment.Leave a comment:
