    I'll admit it. My mom&dad bought me my first 2 cars. 71 dart for $700 but sold it to buy my 2ed car 70 dart $1200 with out a motor. Most of my cars have been muscle cars and i had them before the prices started to shoot through the roof, Like my 1972 Dodge Demon 340, it had maching #'s and was a high impact color car. I bought it for $6000 but i'd like to have it back today for the prices that they are selling for along with my 62 Impala SS, my jaw keeps dropping seeing what they are going for. All of my cars i had to work for and none of my cars cost over $6500. And my insurance has never been high and with most of my classic cars they had classic insurance = around $120 every 6mo.

    Here is my ins. for my cars that i have now.

    Firebird= $280 full cov. every 6mo.
    Grand National= $230 full cov. every 6mo.
    e30= 140 basic every 6mo.
    Vega= not insured yet.

      Since my little '86 Toyota pickup is nothing to speak of, I'll post my other notable ride.

      This is the 1929 Mercedes-Benz roadster replica that myself, Andrew and my father in law own and maintain. We take it to all the classic shows, and take it out for a quick spin on nice days.

      This is Andrew (NitroRustlerDriver) standing next to it at a classic car show:

I know there is exceptions and some of you are older gentleman, but for the most part this community is people 18-25 and I don't see how many of you (most of which either in or fresh out of college) can afford to have so many(nice) cars in such nice condition.
            A) Don't go to college. That means you start your career at 18, which means you have more time to pay off a car and go on to buy the next one.

            B) Don't mod any (many) of your cars. My M Coupe and M5 are bone stock. The E30 S50 car I bought heavily modded. I've done minor tweaks to it.

            C) Insurance isn't that expensive if your daily driver is a crapbox. My insurance is $300 per month on all 5 of my cars. My daily is the '85 325e, which the insurance company knows is worth $5.93...

            Them is the secrets. Rent is steep in San Diego at $1000/month (including utilities), but it's all in priorities.

              Well. I know my cars aren't amazing or anything. I started working right when I turned 15 and spent all my money on my car's till going to school.... things are changing and modding is slowing, cars are selling. Real life is starting to happen.

                    I'm gonna agree with Ben Carufel on this one.

                    1. Don't go to College.
                    Most people I know don't even use the degrees they worked so hard for... Plus if you get into the right field, you don't need a degree to do your job.

                    Move somewhere where people have money to spend on your services. I'm a web designer/developer, and back in Washington the going rate was $65/hr. Here in Santa Barbara I charge $125/hr :D:D

                                Thanks, I changed my screen name from Mtriple to SuperDuper a few months ago. I think Daves IS300 is green, Ben does now own my old car (which I originally bought from Ben), TyVil considered buying my Dakar before he purchased his(mine was SC'd and a lot more money than he wanted to spend. I think Ty has Fikse's, I had Kinesis wheels.), and the E34 was purchased out of CA in 2005(unmolested by Blunt's hands).
