i wish you could come to BimmerFest over here in CA, then you wouldnt even be considering the trade. there were about 100+ m3 clone e36's at the show. made me sick, soo generic.

I'd keep the e30, seeing as to how much work you've done to it...

you should do it... and then couple months later end up getting rid of it for another e30. If that is an early E36 GOOD LUCK TO YOU.

smoother, borring, handles great, quite, luxurious feeling, boaty, but i must say that i do like my M50 motor. If i had to do it again, i would settle for an M3.

What are you high? Don't do it, especially for a dog like that.

M3 body cladded non M e36's are a dime a dozen, ask me how I know.

All show no go and people will come up to you all the time and ask "
hey, is that really an m3? " You'll respond " nah, it's just a 318, an m3 wannabe" as your testicles rise further and further up into your sack:)

Yeah I had an e36 a while ago with mtech front and rear bumpers, the mirrors etc...people would ask me that question all the time even though I left the 325i badge on, after I told them it was not an m3, they had this sad look of disappointment on their faces, got annoying after a while. These kinds of cars get no respect and when you go to bmw meets, your car will get lost in a sea of cars that look exactly like yours. If you ever go on BF, you'll notice, everyone with a non m e36 does the same exact mods, m3 bumpers, side skirts, mirrors, a drop, ltws and clear corners, I'm not exaggerating.

To the OP, keep your e30, I think nice e30's like yours get more respect than non m e36's, even if they are modded to look like an m3.

off topic for a moment, but i just found out from the rim manufacturer ROH of Aust. (emailed them) that my set of rims were really custom-handmade rims... wonder how much the first owner bought them for.... gee.....

the red E36's still tempting me alot though, maybe i shud look at my E30 more.. quite a few ppl i know tell me my E30 looks better den any E36 (esp. more so here cos E30s are rather rare now)

but i'm just really tempted by a few things, one, the E36 looks good to me (locally, it's kinda tuff to find one that's not erm.. rice-ed up), two, it's a manual and i really miss driving a manual car, and three, even though the 318is is not much of a powerhouse of a motor, it sure beats my 1.6L any other day... :(

decisions decisions decisions... maybe i shud go buy the lottery and keep both if i win
