HAH, I need to move to Nebraska. $1,300 for 6 months for me :( Highest crime rate in FL sucks.
Yep,FL must suck for crime cause my cousin lives in Gainesville and he was robbed at gun point and they stole his car then ran it into a house :( a few weeks ago.
I'm just repainting trim/wheels right now, I may respray the front clip, but I'd also have to take care of some dents and such and it would end up being more or less a full respray before I'd be pleased. The paint is in great shape on the rear of the car, the front is just rock chipped to hell. So it will wait a while. I'm considering HID's since the low beams just don't cut it even in town, I've got new osram silverstar bulbs so maybe my reflectors need cleaned?
Almost forgot about the interior bits, removing the crappy tint and maybe getting something better, also need a new front windshield (pitted to hell).
I just got good news, my insurance just dropped from $650/6mo to $320/6mo (turned 20) :p
Side marker deletion is proving to be a little more involved than I first thought, but I'm getting there. Note, wear rubber gloves when working with urethane glue/putty. That and the stealership totally botched the order for all my clips and grommets for trim. They love it when I come in looking for obscure (not sure how they figure that, I always have part numbers) bits and pieces that amount to less than $10. My painter (teh gf) was away last weekend so not much got done on that front
Today I acquired some glasspacks for free, so why not replace my rusty catback?
Is that dtm yo?1
Next is wheel refinishing(weaves and RZ's, sorry for a mild cross post, but I can't decide on color.
Next obstacle is center caps for the RZ's, I think I'll just have to get a sticker shop to make some that will fit. I don't really want to rock the BBS ones, because that pretty much says "steal me please" around here.
Waiting on lots of little body clips and such, but it gives me time to beat on my valance some more and fix some wiring. My window now works with the door shut!
I got these today, not exactly what I was looking for, but couldn't beat the price!
thats a pretty slick little mod. id smoke the lense and and cover one of the diodes or w/e on the bulb to make it turn on only when blinking. cool nonetheless
Patience, patience.
Alright, small update since I spent most of the day moving concrete etc.
Gf at it again, but she couldn't figure out how to get the door locks off.
Bust your ass digging out dirt, pouring concrete and refilling with sod and what do you get? You get a crappy ass unlevel POS parking spot right next to the perfect concrete you just worked for. That's fine, I can see many tech sessions in this driveway's future! Car in 4x4 mode!

Well, not very good pictures, but you can see that it is an OK signal. To gauge how it will look, you can just look at you sidemarkers. That is if you use the side marker bulbs, you could easily fit any kind of bulb you wanted into the space. ;) Also note that resistors will be required if you want 'normal' blinking patterns.
Test fitted and even with regular bulbs, they are visible from 100' with lights on. Also very visible in the daytime. Unfortunately my camera does not like low light situations ;)
Awesome. Well borrow a camera that is friendly with low light, and take some pictures. I'm fairly interested in that little mod, but I dont want to chop up my euro grills if it wont give a satisfactory signal.
I'm running out of stuff to do. I guess it's time to order a gallon of delphin paint....

I'm using some super duper ricer spec led bulbs, you can see just the bulbs pretty well in the daytime. I'll be putting a reflector behind the lens and whatnot too. Technically I don't even NEED turn signals because of the age of my car, but its not fun being pulled over and having to explain that to an officer, and them calling into dispatch to find out that it is in fact legal etc.
Worst thing that can happen is I don't like it and swap it for some euro grilles ;)
