    My new $600 purchase.

Picked this car up this weekend. It's an '88 325is automatic with ~194k on the clock. Everything works and it drives great after a weekend of TLC. It had been sitting in the PO's back lot for 2 years without being started. I brought over the battery from my new cab and the car fired on the second try. It needs a muffler and a preventative timing belt. It also needs some interior TLC and a new head unit and it will be good to go.

This weekend we replaced the fuel line from the tank through the filter, 3 of the 4 headlight bulbs, both foglight bulbs, changed the oil, topped off the coolant, tore off what was left of the muffler (it's LOUD at full song) and replaced the 14" weaves with the Hockenheims from my cab since it is getting new wheels soon. Also put in new plugs and replaced the plug wires with the spare loom I got with my cab.

We got this car for my 16 year old brother-in-law Josh. He helped me drive my new cab back from KC and got hooked on the E30. ;) He has helped me do all the wrenching thus far, and once he gets his license finalized I will be signing the title over to him. Pretty awesome first car, I'd say. He deserves it, he's a great kid.

Future plans include lowering, new shocks, some interior love, and a replacement is spoiler. I'll let Josh tell that story though, he recently registered here as BronzitIS.

    Tim

Thats a hell of a lot cheaper than what I paid for my 91 318i. It looks great! Have fun with it. Does it have an LSD?

Looks like a good first car, but you forgot 5spd in your mod plans....
