    ya, it didn't even phase it. i've tried industrial wheel cleaners, etching mag cleaners, oven cleaner, pressure washing, EVERYTHING. Brake cleaner might get it off, but it would wreck the paint too. I'll try scothbright or steel wool next w/ some wheel cleaner, maybe that will get through some of it. I'm thinking the only hope is to have them bead-blasted and repainted.

      Wow thats drastic measures...sandblasting may do it too...would you repaint the centers white again? I would since its period correct...either that or go buy a decent set of baskets! Hah.

        ya, they'll be re-painted white for sure. The wheels have almost no curbing, and Kieth offered to let me use his bead blaster. So I wouldn't run out and buy new weaves...

          looking good i just picked up a 90 325ic and it was a pig also lots off work i know. but it will be worth it.

            I'll have to watch this thread to see where to get the weatherstrip. Mine leaks on the passenger's side window too. The seal looks ok but there's a gap like the window isn't up all of the way to the seal, but it's at the top of the channel.
