I'm going to Ofest this year and I got a lot to do!

I decided to take my M3 of the 3000+ round trip to Ft. Worth TX from NJ this year and I've realized how much work i have to do to get the car ready. I've already done alot like finish reupholstering my interior, i've repainted the front brakes, working on the rears, etc, I've made 2 lists and took some pictures as I worked. Look at the pic of the gas tank, they actually cut it in 1/2 and welded it back together, amazing:) Also look at the old guibo, somehow the one bolt welded itself to the guibo, i couldn't break it loose with my impact gun

    Anyone else going to O'fest??

Must Do's( in no particular order)

    1. replace gas tank and close hole in floor tank out, still need to weld up floor
    2. replace stock exhaust with SS reson. and B&B Tri-flow new stuff going in after tank replaced
    3. replace wheel bearings
    4. new redline fluids in diff and trans DONE
    5. new stainless steel brake lines and fluid flush 1/2 way there
    6. new rear brakes (fronts just done)
    7. replace pop-out windows with stationary ones(already got rid of my pop-outs, which automatically makes it a must-do!)
    8. install new coolant overflow to tank plastic line Done
    9.Finish reupholstering interior DONE
    10. Finish installing CF sunroof panel
    11. Fix ABS
    12. Change oil
    13. Trans mounts
14 replace Guibo Will install when driveshaft goes back in after tank is back in
    15. New drive belts

    Would like to Do's

    1. Install headlight wipers, washers, washer fluid tank DONE
    2. get wiper headights to function - Probably won't happen before Ofest
    2. Install new "M3" trunk lid emblem DONE
    3. Install stock radio and factory super huge CD Changer
    4. Get A/C working(maybe I should move this one to Must Do's :) )
    5. Full detail inside and out
    6. Buff out polished lips on wheels and paint centers
    7. Paint brake calipers 1/2 Done
    8. Fix cruise control
    9. Refurbish extra valve cover and plenum
    10. Clean and detail engine bay
    11. Replace carpet

I went last year and had a blast, definitely do the track day it is well worth it. The only draw back is cost, and I really don't know what they are spending the money on. It cost me 200 dollars just to register for the event last year plus the track day, beer, food, hotel, gas, beer etc.

I will be keeping the drug running tank, I was thinking of making a hanging light out of it to put over my bar:) Yeah O'fest is really expensive, the hotel is the Hilton, 3000+ miles of gas, premium, food ,beer and all, but hey isnt that was Visa is for :) I did sign up for the track day, it will be my first time on a track and I can't wait!
