Yes it did take a lot of work both Pacific Motorsports and AE spent a lot of time making the body look good and the bumpers fit. We wanted the car to look like BMW built it (IN THE 80's) the golf paint was the factory paint (re-paint) and the only 1979 320i part on it is the front seats and the glass....160k invested :D

That is no doubt a very well sorted E21. Of course calling it the hottest ever is subjective. However, the fitment and quality of work is extremely well done. IMHO there is really nothing on that E21 that is to my taste styling wise, the engine, the dash, the color, the bumpers, would all be different if it were my car. Then again, not everyone likes my taste, and that would get pretty damn boring after awhile There are probably so many trick engineering ideas in that thing that it would be mind boggling, you can’t see everything under the skin of that E21, and if you did, I’m sure it would be more respected. If I saw the guys that built this in person I would commend them on their work and certainly I would be bugging them for a while asking them plenty of questions on the build. I definitely would not walk up to them and say “That looks like shit, should have painted it silver and dropped an M20 in there!” Major props to PM for building a car no one has ever built before.
