New Project car... no E30 content

1971 2002 in Agave Green. Has been sitting for 9 years in New England. Came with Black Leather E30 M3/Cabrio Seats, along with Dual Dellorto Sidedrafts (similar to webers), headers, and center exit exhuast.

Original nose panel. Floors, frame rails, and shock towers are very solid. Lower rocker panels and spare tire well are in dire need of replacement, along with lots of surface rust. My dad and I are probably turning this into a track car with a stroker M10. Price: $500.

P.S. Blunt, can you post some pictures of your 69 with the stroker M10? I've seen the ones of the ///M2 car, but not of the M10 car.

    TIA,
    Ben

Meh. It's really not that bad, the rust is the only thing that is a big deal, and even that isn't so bad. It just so happens that the car is about 30min. away from Matt McGinn's shop (Sports Car Restoration). He said the car wasn't that bad and he restores 02s for a living. Check his website out, he does amazing work. http://sports-car-restoration.com/gallery/

Scrap the money pit before you spend a nickel on it. Ask Ian Powell or any other 02 nut over on 2002faq.

Rust buckets unless it's from dry southwest. Sorry just the truth or ask UNCHLL on how expensive restos get with these.

*sigh*... you guys have no faith. Either that or I didn't explain myself. For what it is going to be, it really won't be terrible.

                        Full Resto? Hell Fucking No.

A functional, OK looking driver? Yes.

You guys have little faith. This will definitely not be a show stopper by any means. I mean I can do most of the stuff on this except a few major things like the rust and paintwork.

                        You'll see.

So what does the rust look like that you can't see?
