What's up guys.
So basically, I got myself a sick 1988 325iS Friday morning from Belmont, CA. I've been out of the E30 scene for about 3 years now(and have been having withdrawls BADLY).
Long story short, I had an E30 when I was a junior in HS, and sold it at the middle of my senior year to make way for a car with a warranty for college, so that I wouldn't have to worry about maintenance; ironically the car I had, it's motor blew..twice(warranty ftw), and the E30 had 205,000miles on it with basically NO issues..Har.
So, after saving as much as I could, the lease-end was coming up, and needed a car, obviously BMW(read bottom for more info). Without hesitating "E30" came to my head, and found the E30 of my dreams. Exchanged some phonecalls, pm's, and before I knew it I was driving up to SF from Santa Barbara to get my Zinno.
SO stoked, to say the least. This car drives like a champ. I'm really amped on it because I've been BMW-less for the past 3 years, and the sad part about it is that I've actually been VERY active on more than 8 BMW forums...with very very little posting(i did not feel worthy). Although my father has several BMW's..I still felt out of the circle not having a BMW.
Without further jibber-jabber, I give you my Zinno 1988 325iS(pics from a sweet little cruise with some SB EuroClub locals that I showed around Malibu, my home-town):

I bought this car from a real good guy off of BayE30, and he had taken meticulous care of this car. It has very subtle, clean, and clean modification.
Basic list:
TMS Chip / Cone Filter Intake(heat shield on order)
E30 M3 Springs / Bilstein Sport Shocks
E30 M3 Rear Sway bar / Cabby Front Swaybar / M3 Front Sway Bar Links
E30 M3 Control Arm Bushings
Reinforced Sway Bar Links
Reinforced Rear Sub Frame
Z3 SSk
Re-Upholstered iS Seats(they look better than fresh iS seats, I love them)
Differential Speed Sensor
Wheel Stud Kit
Bandpass Box / P3 / Alpine 600 / Rockford Fosgate SPL
PBR Front Pads / Slotted Front Rotors
...oh, and a fresh M20 from Bavarian Engine Exchange with only 10k on it :)
All in all, I could not be happier. It needs to have the driver side foglight, and passenger turn signals fixed. Other than that, it's basically perfect(few more knick knacks). I've also got a set of plastic bumpers waiting to be put on this week, woo woo.
For those that care to read on:
Little backround on me and my involvement with BMW. My father has been involved with BMWCCA since practically the begining(his # is 4 digits and the low 3-thousands :). He is a BMWCCA, SCCA, and AudiClub USA Driving Instructor(hasn't for a while though). He writes for Roundel and Bimmer. Having this awesome connection, I've been thoroughly raised into BMW heritage, along with TONS of driver training on and off the track.
I haven't autocrossed, but I have done driving clinics, along with a few HPDE's. Amazing. I used to be extremely active on many BMW forums, as you can see my join date is not too recent. I got out of the posting scene ever since I lost my E30(to the owner of E30tech.com, great guy). So, I didn't feel right posting without the ownership of a BMW. Although my Father has gone through several(currently 00' M Coupe and R1200R).
Just thought I'd get you guys up to date(since I know you care so much :thumbs up).
Anyways, I'm really excited to finally be back on board and can't wait to take more and more pictures and post them up. My friends are extremely talented photographers so plan on seeing more high-quality pictures.
