got my car. did a few things.

got this car, last week. it's a1990 325is. silver/ grey leather.
my 1st car was an e30 sedan.. i wanted rwd again :D
    it's real solid.
drove it for the 1st time tonight, to cleveland and back. drives WONDERFULLY. like any bimmer should.
this week after i got it, it got
    front calipers, pads, rotors
    rear calipers, pads, rotors
h&r race springs (struts are new boge's)
    new hood cable
new shoes (spormax 501's and bfgoodrich gforces. 16x8 et +15 all the way around.)
    stainless lines
faded spoiler re-done in trim black
    leather conditioner

    got a mk3 vr lip on the way (that's right ;) )
also some new roundels, and a couple more odds and ends..
gonna just drive it till weather gets bad, then she's gettin some more lovin'
    how i got her

    then to this.

    the front struts

    rear suspension out..

    spoiler..

    stance baby..

crappy phone pic tonight in coventry....

    that's all. rwd w/ lsd ftw!! :)

    edit for pics this morning..

    :music:

oh, and save the sportmax hate please. i have owned plenty of nice/ expensive wheels. not going the major $$ route for wheels on this car right now, and they fit wonderfully, and i like the look. i have a different set of wheels/ tires for track use. these are just for rollin around town.. :D

Come out to the meet on the 13th. I want to do race springs [currently have H&R sports] and want to know how harsh the ride is.

Look'n good! PS - VWs are crap

plannin on it.. the ride is amazingly smooth. had it on the highway for about 100miles last night. i've run H&R race springs on other vehicles, and they were much stiffer it seemed. these ride great, and handle great too for just a spring upgrade.

Stance looks good, but it could go lower to complete it. Looks clean though>

You're running new OE Boges with the H&R Race springs? You realize the struts/shocks are going to be toast pretty soon, right?

the struts were just replaced before i got it, so i figured i'd just run em. i wouldn't of chose boge's. but i get no bounce, and ride is great. i run a auto repair shop so i got good hook ups for bilsteins, kyb's, etc. so if they go to crap, not a big deal. the car also isn't daily driven, so not too worried about it. but yea low stiff springs, on oe struts.. i get it. :)

The Boges just aren't valved for lowering springs...

DuMa, no matter how popular they get they still eat balls.

I like the rest of the car, but I also don't really understand why you'd run H&R race springs with stock shocks, regardless of what kind of shop you run.

Are you and Farbin brothers or something?

Sportmax wheels are shit. Will always be, no matter how anyone tries to sugarcoat 'em.

re-read my post. it says the struts were already new. i did not purchase, or install them. i JUST got the car a week ago. previous owner installed them. they are brand new, so i figured i'd run them for now. actually very happy w/ the ride. i've run ALOT of different suspension set-ups. don't need "schooled" on what's good and what's not. not trying to be a jerk, just sayin.. the point about the shop is that if/ when these go to crap it's no biggie to get whatever i want to get at that time..
but thanks for the props on the car itself..

as far as the wheels go, to each their own. i know good quality, and these are def. a cheap wheel. but spin super true, aren't that heavy, look great, (IMO of course..) finish is nice enough, and will serve their purpose just fine. i'm not going for land speed records, here. or putting them on a carrera gt. i'm driving around town maybe a couple times a week. and i like them.

                            i'm not bashing here, fwiw..
