I drove 3200 round trip, blew out a tire on the way home (80mph) and almost wrecked the M!!! I did my first DE on the Motorsport Ranch track, the biggest, fastest, best auto-x I've ever competed it, cool events, met some really cool people and a lot more I can't think of right now. What a trip, it was great!!!! Well here are the pics:

And even crazier for driving 1600 miles home after a track event! I get worried that a shock mount or half-shaft will fall out of the car on a 100 mile trek home from DE's. :D

Nice pics, looked like a great time. Shame about the blowout

The drive was stiff and loud. (H&R Race springs, B&B Tri-FLO exhaust) But fun, you really get to know, and trust, your car after a drive like that.

Stu, I had the uhaul trailer back up plan ready to put in motion if needed!

As for the blowout, it really didnt bum me out, all part of an awsome road trip!

Nice to meet you there, Jeff! Car looked awesome...even with the horns!

I drove around 2700 miles round trip.

I don't know if people know...but I've put over 20,000 miles on my stroker motor already...built it last June. All have been highway miles...for the most part. Most trips have been between home and school - about 1000 miles. I've done 3 driving schools in my car...two of which I drove 700+ miles one way to go and 700 miles home the night following the Sunday on the track. I love driving long distances in my car! (all miles with IE3s and Konis...hehe)

Never once has my car left me strandard during my 1000+ mile treks I've made in it. And...I drive this thing hard!

Jordan, if you wanted to come check out cars at the concours, there was no admission fee. You coulda come to the track and watched for free too. Only thing that cost money was being involved.

                  Jeff...know why the tire blew?

tire looks like it went because of low pressure. sidewalls go from built up heat [from low pressure/friction] or impact breaks [potholes]

Looks like a blast. Did you ruin your hood for those horns?!?!?!

Looks to me like it went due to an impact, check the wheel , and the tire sidewall is beat due to driving with no air after the impact .
