My 335 has no engine!! :O

So you might remember my car... http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35746

The car started behaving very strange and a lot of blue smoke coming from the exhaust! I new the head was ok, it had just been rebuilt so what we thought was wrong were the pistonrings!

We decided to pull the engine out and open it... Me and 2 of my friends pulled the engine out and then I had another friend, who is a mechanic, open it and check it out.. he found out that the block was fucked up and I could not use it anymore. So I found another m30 in Iceland which I got fairly cheap because the head was not very good... which was good for me because I had a rebuilt head! :)

So now I have to put the new engine together and try to get it back into the car!

Here are a few pics from when we pulled out the engine.

Aron Andrew happy with how things are going..

    The old engine

Aron "BadBoy" Andrew not so happy now... mainly tired!

And this is how it looked at the end of the day.

Then the engine was ripped apart and we found out that the block was ruined..

I dont have any pics of the new engine... but the only thing I am using from the new engine is the block and the crank... using the head from the old engine, manifold, intake.. etc.

I just cant wait to be able to drive it again... no.. cant wait to drift it again!! :D

P.s. I have to thank Aron Andrew and Bjarni(lame e36 owner..) for all the help!

Looks like fun. I wish I knew that much about the tech-portion to be able to just do a project like that. GL with it all.

Why did you big Icelanders even bother using a hoist? Either one of you looks like you could dead lift it!

Get it done, summer is coming.

What was wrong with the old block?

Good luck on the swap over.
