    First e30

And I hope shes a good one. 1989 325i Alpineweiß II.

And my landlords car that I get to walk past everyday..

The e30 is one of 4 BMWs in the lot now, including a stock e90 and a 1200GT. I guess it helps living a block away from BHBMW. So far I love the car, just needs a little touching up here and there, all small stuff (new fog bulbs, new hood shock, new belt clips, driver side door doesn't stay open). So I'm pretty happy with it. The miles are sort of high but the engine was replaced about 130k ago or so. I guess the PO just drove it by himself on the highway and always had it garaged, judging by the interior wear (almost nothing other than the drivers side), and the paint is in good condition. Sorry for the Jetta mat. Cheers.

ps-It didn't come with a lip, so I figured I'd keep it off until I find a used I or IS for a good price, don't feel like spending 150 for a new one when I'll probably just break it off.

Not a spot of rust outside of some surface rust on the exhaust hangers, pretty stoked for California cars about now.

        edit-some questions..
        1. what front lights do I have? I am not sure if they are the sealed type or not, not sure if you guys can tell either.
        2. It says 11/88 on the drivers side door plate, but I didn't think they made them with the small bumpers in '88?

I'm sure I'll have more later..

Those are the stock US elipsoids, not the sealed beams the 90+ cars had.

As for the production date, i'd say it was made in november of 88, and released as an '89 model.

*edit- sweet jetta floor mats, haha. :)

very nice, as you know a lip is in need. you can use others other than the i or iS. theres reiger infinity, and the replica, then you can use some vw lips and even early e30 lips with some modification. otherwise id say wheels, springs, sport seats and youre set.

                  thing of beauty!!!

i have the same model and color...same history too as far as engine being replaced right around 100 K miles....i have 204 K miles until odometer stopped....i also have the missing front lip....(anyone have a Rieger infinity ABS?)

i'm working on rims first, then a drop then some body work...

                  good luck!

Thanks, ended up around $2,600 after everything was done since he picked up all of the DMV fees.

I'm not sure about dropping it too much with the streets around here being pretty bad, I'd love to throw IE stage 3's and bilstein sports on, but I don't know how bad I'd be dragging everywhere..it has about 1.5 inch clearance going into the driveway as it is.

I've got the same problem at my latest place. I park on the street, but the again, my e30 isn't nealy as pretty anymore.
