New acquisition in the E28 world.....

First, let me start off by saying, I have never even seen these for sale, let alone knew they ever existed. This car is a 1983 Schnitzer S5 and the only one I have seen, even for sale in the US. Based off the Euro 528i, Schnitzer bought the shell and built it to there specs (or the customers). It's a really oddball car with some funky options, but let me break it down for y'all.

Euro Spec M30 w/ 9.8:1 Forged Pistons (to Schnitzer Specs)
Some Headwork with a 300 degree cam :D
    Motronic 1.0
    Getrag 265 Overdrive 5-speed
    3.46 Differential
    Staggered 16" BBS RAs
BBS Front Air Dam and Rear Spoiler
    Schnitzer Stripes
Specially valved Bilsteins and Schnitzer Springs
Schnitzer Gauge Cluster w/ 100L Fuel Tank
Scheel ASS Seats covered in Factory Pearl Biege Cloth (yes thats right, ass seats)
Cloth Interior with Power windows in Front, Crank windows in the back
    No Sunroof
    Only 64,500 Miles, all original

Anyways, sorry to bore you all with the description, but here are some quick shots I took a few days ago of this fine beast. Yes, the pictures suck, but you will see the potential this thing has.

Let me know if you all approve.

    Thanks,
    Ben

        Looks pretty sweet.

I hate to be the voice of dissent, but I don't see anything officially denoting that car as an AC Schnitzer car. I also wouldn't think that they would use a BBS body kit. And are the stripes actually ACS stripes?

Again, I'm not trying to bust your balls, but if you bought the car under the pretense that it was an ACS-built car, you may have been swindled.

It's all good man. Back in the day, Schnitzer never used there own body components, they were more off a hot-rod shop. Sort of like Hartge in the early 80's (except Hartge used there own airdams and whatnot)

This is NOT an AC Schnitzer car, but just a "Schnitzer" car. AC Schnitzer was formed in 1987, this a predecessor. Not much is found out about these cars, but I assure you it is a genuine Schnitzer.

This car also has a Schnitzer sticker in the Door jam, above where the federalization stickers are. Here's a few links you should look at too.

Again, I appreciate your input, but I know what I'm getting into. ;)

Sad to see the rust, fix it and preserve a piece of BMW history. Also, it makes me miss my E28 M5.
