This one's for Billy/Gordon/Juan/Guillermo/Orlando!
Holy hell, this is the first E30 i have seen that has the same stripes as mine, although on the other side of the World. Slightly less faded than mine =P. Are they a factory option or something? Nobody seems to know anything about them. Anyway, great to see another E30 with the same stripes! Although it's a lot straighter than mine, mine aint that bad =P That car looks the piece.
As far as I've been able to find out, the stripes were an option available from the dealer. They were not marketed at all in the US, so there were very few that new of them. The stripes are expensive as hell from the the dealer $350+ and they are not available according to most dealers. i managed to find a left rear quarter and right door piece that a dealer in CO was able to get from Germany.
BTW- I make replicas of these M-Stripes as well as the Motorsport roundels. ;) Both of wich are on VDubs Kick ars e30
So if you want to replace your faded ones let me know.

Hey mate, if you could give me a price of how much it would be for an entire new set, shipped to an address in California, that would be fantastic. One side of mine is quite faded. I'm thinking i might get a full paint job sometime, so yea, i'd need some new stripes because i think they look bloody awesome!
Yeah, it's running with the M50 swap now. It seems to be running a bit rough and down on power to me, with a hesitation at 5k rpm's, but I'm sure Billy will figure it out. Exhaust is pretty raspy too but a resonator/extra muffler should help that.
Your engine swap looks really good...
