if it has 4 doors it should be a wagon, suv, a seven, or a m. I was like 30 seconds from getting a e46 330ci and 60 seconds from an m3. But i decided to quit my job and the e30 was purchased on a whim.

One of RC Wells' friends had an E46 325i with step-Bobby ran him a few times in his previous E30 and the E30 won handily each time. If the E46 was manual it would have obviously been closer...but how much closer I don't know for sure.

I have to pick on Bobby a bit-over the past 7 years I have owned 3 E46's, and Bobby really didn't care much for them at all-always said he would never come to like the E46 has much as the E30. I was on the phone with him a number of times on his drive back from Houston, and it was something to hear how his perceptions had changed in that drive. An E46 is just a damn good car-simple as that. I enjoyed the ones that I owned, and I may very well own another very soon.

Bobby-if I can get done with the server upgrades early enough tomorrow I might run over there and check out the new addition. I must say-it looks VERY clean-much better than I thought it would! And you have to love those Type 44 wheels-especially on a titanium silver car.

I will make a prediction-within the next year Bobby will have an E46 for himself...probably an '01-02 330i, sport package with manual transmission. You heard it here first.

I think its pretty sweet for a wifes car. And the E46 step trannies shift so smoothly, its not like its a disadvantage from a manual any more really. And it may just be me, but I think the E46 is the nicest generation BMW created really. Nice pick up if the price was right..... Definitely better than your wife wanting a corolla or a maxima or something along those lines.

Yeah my E30 is faster than my E46 325i/auto in every way imagineable.

                            Edit: When it runs.

What makes you think that the manual would be faster?
